Day 4 -Spirulina Smoothie–Really!


Spirulina, it’s Microalgae… can I possibly try this?  I eat with my eyes first, and this looks like something I’d find at the bottom of the ocean floor.  Spirulina is high in protein.  Some say it might improve muscle strength and endurance which makes it a great post workout smoothie.  I’ve added a lot of fresh and yummy ingredients.  Trying to make this somewhat an enjoyable and tasty experience for you.

1 1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut milk

1 container low fat vanilla yogurt

1 teaspoon spirulina

1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice

1/2 banana

1/2 avocado

Blend all ingredients together and enjoy you algae.
