Sometimes you just want a fresh cup of tea. I’ve been busy making all sorts of healthy yummy treats for my family, but I realized that I needed to take a moment or two in my day to relax. What better way than with a new soothing cup of warm tasty tea. Below you will find my recipe for my basil balm lemon lavender.
4 cups of water
3 slices of lemons
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tablespoons of honey (I used lavender, but regular honey works just fine)
3 fresh basil leaves
2 whole cloves
Tiny pinch of turmeric (optional)
Add all ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer for 4-5 minutes, allowing all the fresh ingredients to come together.
