We all crave something new and different when we slip into a dress or blouse that we hope won’t be worn by three other women in our social circle. Online shopping gives consumers so many choices in designer brands and styles.
For many years I avoided shopping, I didn’t like the way my body looked. I kept telling myself, I’ll wait to lose some weight before I invest in some beautiful clothes. But all that changed once I started talking to my sister Mandy who lives in Europe, where women exhibit such a high level of self-confidence and positive body image.
My beautiful sister here in this photo knows that deep within each of us lies our own personal style, and that regardless of age, weight, and body type we should all be empowered to shop for clothes that accentuate our individual bodies. From a young age she was a fashionista; picking out perfectly suited items was always her thing. After all, she believes that ‘fashion is an expression of creativity, and every woman has the right to feel uniquely beautiful in her own clothes’.
Lucky for me I live in Chicago, where designer brands and the latest fashion trends are at my fingertips. I take it for granted that all I have to do is take a quick drive to the mall, where a cornucopia of beautiful fashion items awaits my purchasing power. So many things to choose from, designer labels, different styles in dresses, blouses, sunglasses, handbags, perfumes, and the list goes on.
But if you live in more remote parts of the United States or the world, and you crave more unique fashion pieces then online shopping is for you. My sister has taken her wardrobe to a whole new level of pizazz by shopping online.
These days you can find my sister Mandy shopping online for ME—Yes the irony, I live in Chicago, and she lives in Croatia. While I have access to fashion trends here in Chicago, I lack her exquisite fashion sense and style.
So stay tuned as she attempts to dress me by picking out clothes online. I can’t wait to see what her keen fashion eye has in store for me. Or in this case has online for me.
